OUR STORY
Marmalade Meringue is a beautiful family-run lifestyle store, set in the pretty market town of Hinckley.
We first opened our doors on a sunny day in June 2011, since then we have never looked back! Here at Marmalade Meringue we have a passion for living life beautifully. Sourcing gorgeous pieces so you can make your house a home. Inspiring you to give the greatest gift of all time, and even maybe tempting you to treat yourself every once in a while!
Since opening our dream shop we have won six mind-blowing awards! It's safe to say, we are one very proud family!
During this time Tilley married her amazing other half Craig and had three beautiful children. As if all of that wasn't exciting enough we now have two new members of the MM Team. Originally it was Mother and Daughter combo, Trudy and Tilley and now we have roped in Father and Son, Roger and Kent too!

Meet The Team
Here’s a little about us and what we did before we opened your favourite gift shop...
Trudy has over thirty years experience in the retail sector. She started working in her Grandfather’s electrical showroom on a Saturday at the age of twelve, learning her skills through observation, hard work and constant innovation. Leaving the retail sector for eight years to work in education she has come back to her real love with renewed excitement and feels very privileged to have the opportunity to work alongside her family.
Tilley finished her GCSE’s and completed a BTEC Fashion and Clothing course at the highest level. Loving the creative side to the course, but not quite ready to settle down just yet, Tilley became an Outdoor Pursuit Instructor in Cornwall, followed by doing a ski season in Italy and a winter travelling in Thailand. At the age of 21, Tilley was ready to set out on another adventure with her Mum and before she knew it she was opening Marmalade Meringue!
Roger is a familiar face at Marmalade Meringue, especially at lunchtime, when he pops up to lend a hand and of course get the kettle on! A lifetime ago Roger achieved his City and Guild's in Mechanical Engineering and worked for many years in his chosen trade, After meeting and marrying Trudy they worked together for twenty years in retail until times changed again and Roger went to work for a supercar manufacturer. Retiring from his trade, Roger now works alongside the Marma-ladies and MM wouldn't be the same without him!
Kent, one of Tilley's brothers, joined the team when Tilley had her beautiful baby, Oren. After school, Kent went to University in Southampton where he gained his masters in Marine Biology. He got snapped up so quick, he missed his graduation ceremony and was on a boat to Greenland before he knew it! He spent 5 years travelling all of the world with work, but no matter how stunning the views, there's just no place like home. Not only is Kent happy being back on dry land, he's loving his new venture at Marmalade Meringue and the team are loving it too!
